The Department of Human Development and Family Science (HDFS) at the University of Georgia is seeking applicants for a tenure-track Assistant Professor in Human Development and Family Science with a focus on Lifespan Development to begin August 2022. The department is hoping to hire an individual who will build on and complement existing departmental strengths and extend departmental expertise to a wider range of the lifespan, with a preferred focus on either a) infancy and early childhood or b) middle and older adulthood.
The successful candidate will collaborate and contribute to an established curriculum in HDFS at both graduate and undergraduate levels; develop and maintain a rigorous, nationally-recognized research program in developmental science using advanced analytical strategies; secure funding from external sources and publish in peer-reviewed scholarly outlets; and teach undergraduate and graduate courses in human development and/or research methods in HDFS.
